No anything over 35c is hot, 25c is comfortable

I remember a TV advert when I was living in Melbourne. . .it was for Roof Insulation. . . the crux was basically. . ." Down the street it's 32 degrees. . . . but inside, in this house . . .It's a comfortable 25 degrees. . . ." Jeeze,. . .If I put my central heating system up to max + 20 percent,. . . we'd never get it THAT warm. . . .I think you Aussie persons need to live here for a few months - especially in the winter months ! !

A N Y W A Y. . . . Here's a video from a bloody GOOD pollie, named Daniel Hannan. . . . He is a very erudite politician,. . .very sure of his facts. For those of you who have any interest in the UK Brexit drama,. . . please have a look. It's not a long vid.

We have now got a situation, where the Government have allowed an 'Extension' of the deadline for voter registration for the June 23rd Rferendum on the EU.

They insisted several months ago that this WILL NOT HAPPEN ! Get your registration sorted NOW, "Do not leave it until the last minute."

Following a TV programme last night, which made Nigel Farage look realy GOOD,. . .and David Cameron - really BAD,. . .the Gov't voter registration website went down, when over 200,000 peole tried to register their voting qualifications with only 90 minutes remaining before the deadline. . . . .! It isn't as if this hasn't been advertised on all of the MSM networks,. . .

So us skeptics are assuming that there is a huge push by the powers that be, to make sure of their 'Remain' Vote, when we've already seen on the media that loads of African Immigrants, Albanian Immigrants . . .etc. . .etc. .. have recieved voting cards when they are not allowed a vote, . . .STITCH UP comes to mind. . .the Govt. has allowed a 48 hour offset of the deadline, odd, when the website only went down due to overload, for 90 minutes. . . .?

These Barstards will try ANYTHING to get their Fecking disgusting 'REMAIN' vote. . . . . there will be NO WAY of checking who is not allowed to vote in this plebiscite. . . .The dodgy Postal Votes are obviously not sufficient, so they have to mess around a bit more to make sure. . .

The UK is now a bloody Banana Republic folks. . . . Zimbabwe would be proud of us. . . . . So, Just like the Austrian Election a couple of weeks ago, where the Anti-EU party won a majority,. . .but it was overturned in favour of the Pro-EU party, on Postal votes. . .( ?) these postal voters were SO enthuisiastic that several voting contituences had a turnouts exceeding 125 percent. . . . . .Hmmm. . .

Anyway,. . .watch Dan Hannan. . . .really good bloke.

He's certainly a good speaker, Phil.

Phil, just wondering what the underlying message of that cartoon is... the pro-Brexit crowd think that the world is flat? spacer.png

WHAT ? ? ?

Are you saying. . . . . . . . . . .that it ISN'T ?

Mainstream media appear to have 'Leave' ahead in the polls for the very first time. . . .

Odd that nearly all of the internet polls are saying 60% or more for leave. Town polling up and down the country shows huge support for the leavers, with very little interest in stalls set up promoting 'Remain'

This morning, . .. Rupert Murdoch's daily paper picks it's candidate. . .

true, interesting that all the Aussie poms who never want to go back and live in England want the same thing

Yes, that's a puzzler really mate,. . . . unless they still have rugrats, or other family back in the 'Old' country ?. . .who knows.

Let's hope that they are as 'Patriotic' towards their adopted country also . . . !

Imagine all the Poms screaming when the price of food goes up, and then taxes go up, and then petrol goes up, and then clothes go up, and then taxes go up, and then cars go up, and then rents go up, and the tories are like "England for the English"

THAT. . . . . . is a risk some of us are prepared to take.

In the view of a very large number of respected narrators; the alternative would almost certainly be a heck of a lot worse.

Only time will reveal.

As for things going up. . . .I am looking forward to some Pollies going up, on lamp posts at Westminster;. . .assisted by much piano wire.

All those costs might go down, FT. Here's the reason..

If the Poms use the opportunity to reduce regulators then they might be able to prosper. The only thing regulators produce is poverty.

The history of the human race is that most of the time the masses live in over-regulated poverty. Material progress happens in some brief periods where the old regulators have been swept aside and the new ones have not yet taken over.

For example the history of Europe was over-regulation by the church and aristocracy producing poverty for most. Then a brief period of capitalism during which civilization advanced, now returning to over-regulation.

I don't know about that. If it weren't for food safety regulation there'd be a lot more sickness out there (look what happened when frozen berries weren't properly washed.) If there weren't building regs there'd be a lot of dodgy construction which would be hazardous to health and hip pocket.

Sometimes we can argue that there's too much regulation, but I wouldn't want to live somewhere where there wasn't any.

Millions of people are already dying because the cost of regulations has made new antibiotics unprofitable. You would possibly survive a superbug infection if there was an unapproved antibiotic which you could take at your own risk, but this would be against regulations. So you have to die for "safety" reasons.

And if there were no building inspectors, why would you not employ an agent to oversee the job... gosh my first job was a contract inspector and there was no way the job could have been done out of spec. They didn't get paid for a stage if they did anything wrong, until it was fixed.

But the worst example of over-regulation around now is the attempted destruction of Jabiru by CASA bureaucrats.

New medications go through extensive testing and trials exactly because of the dangers of not doing so. Ever heard of the miracle drug Thalidomide?

Phil you can see a new era of British wealth and prosperity but none will trickle down to the working man as the lords and ladies will quickly decide that getting migrants to fill jobs is still cheaper than hiring locals.
