Was that the thing I saw on Gardening Australia on Saturday? There was a segment on a compost manufacturing plant that turns waste food into compost and uses the by-product methane gas as power generation. Powers the whole plant and they export a heap to the grid.

I did some contract problem solving work for a mob that had big Cat diesels and a genny inside a container that was planted on old rubbish dumps to power them (methane).

 

At least 20 years ago, can't remember their name but was in Brissy.
