Parked outside our accommodation in Ballarat last week, we had 5 bikes on the rack. The 4 best ones had a bike chain with combination lock threaded around them. Mine, the dodgiest, did not (the chain was too short for all 5). One night I couldn't be bothered taking them all off the rack and putting them behind the house. Next morning, there were only 4 bikes on the rack - my unchained one was gone. I'm just hoping that whoever nicked it, it was someone who really needed it - not just a drunk who couldn't be bothered walking home. 1
willedoo Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Cordless power tools have been a big advantage for thieves these days. 2
red750 Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Here is probably one of the silliest things I have seen. I had a small tetra pack of juice, coins for size comparison. Printed on the side was this warning... 1

Back in the 70's there was a lot of demolition going on in Sydney - and I quickly learnt not to ride too close behind tip trucks loaded with rubble. A half brick, on edge, fitted nicely between duals. Until the truck got up to speed. 1
red750 Posted April 17 Posted April 17 Putting on weight when you reach middle age is the fault of the Romans. Roman numerals for 40 is XL.
nomadpete Posted April 17 Posted April 17 I think Red was talking about inches.... around the waist. 1
