More importantly  how did you get the beggars to drink it?

Well, we tried to get them to have a drink with us, but it seems there's multiple barriers. Language difficulties, a lack of ability to hold a can, and a known disposition to avoid drinking anything at all, for extremely long periods, seemed to doom our attempts to get them to be more sociable.
