I could take photos of a road were the cycle lane is greater than " one third " The road width . spacesailor One of the things I am looking forward to when returning to Aus is to utilise the many cycling lanes. No, I am not one of the crazy commie cyclists that thinks all road users owe them the ultimate right of way through red lights, give way/stop signs, etc. Nor do I wear lycra (at the risk of being done for indecent exposure).. But what better way to get around for shorter trips when you don't have to lug lots of cargo around. 1

There's one old chap who pedals up a road we often use, so I've seen him a few times now. Unfortunately the Lycra on his arse has worn thin and he seems to be a fan of going commando, so it's quite an unpleasant experience overtaking him. 1 1
rgmwa Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Probably not as unpleasant as following him. 1 1

onetrack Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 Well, thank the Good Lord for small mercies, Marty didn't supply photos, or even worse - dash cam video! 😞 2 1 1
onetrack Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago I suspect that was either a terrorist attack, or a simple accident, the Cybertruck was reported to be full of fireworks. 1
facthunter Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago The MAKER is a tool. An oxymoron is someone who can't weld. Ratchet spanners are often rat$#!t. Nev 1

But the picture makes a great basis for a great meme. 1 1
facthunter Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The FIRE appears to be behind the car. Everything is faked these days. What a pity that it is so. No new age of enlightenment that could have been. Those in control don't want educated masses Some don't want an Educated Leader either. .Nev 2 1

No. I pulled the picture from a video which also showed a view of the car taken from inside the building. Definitely a passenger compartment fire, caused by the fireworks, and as onetrack said, an accident. I didn't want to knock EVs. The ironic twist is in the juxtaposition of a Tesla and the Trump building. 1
nomadpete Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Either way, it is a great statement - was the musky one at home when it went up at the front door? Has a Tesla owner fallen out of lerv, or was he just too embarrased to be seen driving it? As an aside, that pic seems to show the front wheel at an odd angle. 1

facthunter Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago That camber set up is not unusual these days. The outside wheel is vertical when cornering. Bad luck braking straight ahead, but that's the way it goes. Compromise. Nev 2
old man emu Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Looks like it wasn't an accident after all, but is being treated as a terrorist incident. It seems that the contents of the cabin were ignited by a remote device. Musk was quick to Tweet that the fire had nothing to do with the battery. I'll accept that, given my interpretation of the flames and the after incident photos of the material in the cabin. OMG! I agreed with Elon. I think I'd better have a Bex and a good lay down. 1 3
Marty_d Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago It's funny, isn't it. He's done a lot of good - kickstarted the electric car race, big batteries, home batteries, even done some good in the aerospace/satellite & communications field. But on the other hand he's an obnoxious twerp and the US's worst boss, who sucks up to the US's worst president. Plus he's supportive of far right hate speech and conspiracy theorists, and turned Twitter into a Trump echo chamber, not to mention push/manipulate crypto currencies which are terrible for the environment and really only used by criminals. Guess humans are complex creatures. 1 3
