willedoo Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 And ome for @willedoo Jerry, that's a pile of BS. I'll have you know that's my mother in the bottom photo and she was at least 36 when that photo was taken.

red750 Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 I get the point, but it got a good review. Quirky, but good.
red750 Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 This model has now been discontinued, but one of its unusual features was the large air-bump pads on the doors like bubble wrap for your car. The rear door windows swung out a couple of inches instead of sliding down in the door. This allowed pockets in the door for things like a can or bottle of drink, etc.
old man emu Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 I'd love those air pads on the side of my car. No more shopping trolley rash!
facthunter Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 That's to allow for the long buses pushing it sideways on the Grande Ronde. Nev
willedoo Posted January 26, 2020 Posted January 26, 2020 The rear door windows swung out a couple of inches instead of sliding down in the door. This allowed pockets in the door for things like a can or bottle of drink, etc. It wouldn't be much fun for rear seat passengers if the air con broke down in the middle of summer.
