Reminds me of most regional 'highways'

 

And it is why most people choose a 4wd to do their 'round Australia' trip. They need it just to manage 'Highway Number One'

I don't know why but on hwy 1 in Qld they keep repeating the rough surface signs. All that is needed is one at each border. I must admit that the roads are better than they were 40 years ago. You can now overtake safely and also keep up a fairly good average speed.

You really have to brake the speed laws, to pass them.

They are slow whenever you can,t overtake, then they,r flying along as soon as tou start overtaking.
