nomadpete Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 (edited) So, I'm guessing your ex never had to keep a book beside the bed, to stave off boredom while waiting for you to finish up? You are a worry - I was only referring to being late for anniversaries and birthdays, what are you on about anyway? Edited January 8, 2023 by nomadpete 1 1

nomadpete Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 Is that what inspired SFM's famous quote? He got it from Mrs SFM - "It's not a race, dear." 2

She said I was always early and disappointing.. While she slaved away nurturing and caressing her ingredients to make a sumptuous meal, when it was my turn, I would be done in 2 minutes and serving up no less than Magi's 2 minute noodles. What on earth does a bed have to do with it? That was for desert (which when I cooked, obviosuly was not forthcoming unless I whipped it up myself). Edited January 8, 2023 by Jerry_Atrick 1

In 2014 my son relocated himself and his business to Wellington NZ. Before moving his worldly possessions he visited Wellington and bought a car so he could house hunt. He then had to return to Melbourne for 3 weeks to pack up his house. He parked the car he bought in a side street near Welly airport. This was a quiet residential street with no parking restrictions. When he returned 3 weeks later the car was not where he had left it. The car was now on the other side of the road facing the other way and the road had been resealed. I guess when faced with a car in the way of resealing the options are try to locate the owner, go around it or move it. The Kiwis obviously favoured the last option. 1 1
