I wonder whether it would be better turned to face the wind direction or whether it works better as is. I'll have to experiment with an old one from the op shop.

If you own a Ford, you have enough built-in rattles and noises to try and pin down - without trying to find prank noises! I bought a 2011 Ford Ranger dual cab recently (as a profit-making deal - I wouldn't buy a Ford normally) - and this thing has a vibratory rattle behind the dash on the passenger side that drives me nuts, and which I cannot pin down!!

 

It starts at about 30kmh with low RPM, but largely disappears at higher road speeds and higher RPM's. I need to get someone in the passenger seat, pull the glovebox out, and see if we can track it down.

Or the other place. At least he can look out the windows to see where he’s going. Obviously a VFR flight.
