Silly Picture Thread.

This story is true. My stepsons wife was organising a camping trip for her family, and searching with Google for a replacement bar that goes through the top of a tent. She searched "images".

She didn't know what it was called, so she thought "spreader bar" sounded about right. She told us she really got her eyes opened to new adventures in the bedroom!!

We all told her it was called a "ridge pole" - but then we found some camping sites that did have "spreader bars" for tents!

1903 is about the time the first Harley  was built. It This one) wasn't built with any commercial  aspirations in mind, but as a sort of plaything. There's no fancy chrome in those days either and the bikes for the road had mudguards and a rear stand later. The hand tensioned flat leather belt doubled as a clutch when tensioned by a pivoting idler pulley. The general  colour became a light Grey and they were known as "the "Silent Grey Fellows".  Like many others of the period the inlet valve was "atmospheric" not mechanically  actuated. The front springing added was a "bought in" item originally In those days SOME motorcycles had wooden rims. There were many brands of US made bikes initially, with many different features.  Innovation was widespread. The early Harley  was quite conventional for the time  modelling European design for the most part in the mechanicals. Nev

It's not a silly picture, but a search for "Harley" in the search function function in the header turned up a number of occurrences in this topic and no other.

I tried it while on the forums page and got six pages of references from a lot of different threads. If I'm on a page in the silly picture thread and do the same search, I only get the results from that thread. It seems if you are on a thread page, it will only search for related content within that particular thread.
