red750 Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Seems a bit unusual when the toilet is completely seperate.

red750 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 They could be liable for prosecution if they copied the Coke can exactly. 1
Marty_d Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Not sure about that. If they were selling actual cans of soda with that logo/colour scheme, even as it is there with the spelling mistake, they'd be in the shit. But no one buying this product is ever going to think they are buying soda, so it's like a t shirt or something - free advertising for Coke. The only issue is using the name without permission. 1

When we see signs or words, we interpret them based on previous experience, and mostly often only utilise major features. So, if you make a thing that looks like a Coke can in shape and colour and use the same font for the letters, you only have to change the spelling slightly to possibly avoid a breach of copyright. I don't see Coca-Cola bothering to sue the manufacturer of the disguise on the basis that the disguise does not contain a carbonated cola drink. They might go the manufacturer for steali intellectual property - colour and font matters. 1
