old man emu
Notice the word "chicken" on the label: I wonder what chemical is used to imitate the taste of chicken meat. And we usually think of the taste of chicken as being the result of how it was cooked. So is the chemical mimicking roast, fried, boiled or bar-b-qued chicken? Then again, the chickens could have been free-range, eating grass along with insects. The grass could have contributed to the chickens being plant-based.
Marty_d
An ex-girlfriend's mother used to make "mock turkey" sandwiches, she'd whip up some sort of paste from various ingredients which surprisingly did taste like turkey. Not sure if it was vegetarian (probably contained chicken stock) but it sure didn't contain turkey.
facthunter
Wild fowl has much more flavour than cage grown stuff and is much leaner. There's literally NO comparison. Nev 1
old man emu
A quick search turned up this: https://the1940sexperiment.com/100-wartime-recipes/ It has recipes for mock turkey (lentils) and mock duck (sausage mince), plus a couple of recipe for mock crème. And don't forget mock lobster, made with any fish that is firm enough to cut into inch x inch chunks. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/12750/mock-lobster/

Compare the noses and the ears. Also the one on the two-piece has a female pelvis. No amount of hormonal treatment can change a male pelvis into a female one. As well, there is a differences in their ages.
