Phil Perry Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 FLying car.. Is the Tereafuga certified (not as insane), yet... And I think there is a gyrocopter version of the flying car already on sale... I saw a video of a flying car some months ago, can't remember what it was called though. If these things ever become a widely available reality; I'll bet that the accident investigators in various countries will have their hands a bit on the full side,. . .unless they are all automated . . I mean, WE nerdy, well experienced Pilots have enough difficulty staying out of trouble don't we . . !
nomadpete Posted June 26, 2017 Posted June 26, 2017 Phil, re: Visions of the Future, Been done before. I'm sure you've heard of a bloke called Jules Verne. He wrote a couple of SF yarns back in the 1800's. But I bet you haven't read his very short story "In the Year 2889" ? A short story written in 1885 (but not printed until 1889), simply describing a day in the life of a businessman, one thousand years in the future. Get it from Gutenberg Project. He Foresees supersonic intercontinental travel, Skype, internet, etc, so he was a bit out with his timing - we got there a lot quicker than he thought. Maybe he set his time machine to the wrong year !
spacesailor Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 I tried the "gutenberg" site, but only got "error 403". Any tips to get Jules Verne book. spacesailor
nomadpete Posted June 28, 2017 Posted June 28, 2017 Www.gutenberg.org Thousands of free books. Only problem is they are all out of print and beyond the limit of copyright. The catalog is searchable for author or title
Phil Perry Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 Maybe the Town of Bury really ought to rethink their RSPCA branch shop sign ? ?

I can only assume that these containers are designed for the 'Plebs' with their £3.99 bottles of El-Cheapo fizz,. . . and not for the aristocracy. . . . like me. . . . . Phil Perry Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 Are they also members of the Ugley Women's Institute? In MY own experience,. .( And I have met several. . . .) Female 'Feminists' are always 'Not as appealing to Male tastes as other men of my disposition. . . .'. . . . .
spacesailor Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 PhilP They all start to look better as age increases and eyesight decreases. spacesailor
nomadpete Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 After studying the picture, I would have thought the opposite. Classic case that proves that some people don't get to breed without the aid of beer goggles. Or the drinkers lament; "I've been to bed with a lot of beautiful women, but haven't woken up next to one yet"
Phil Perry Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 I would LIKE to think that this dog just did a parachute jump and landed on the lady. . . .
