[edit] I did see the humorous side, but for Chinese, in our day anyway, thought cat was more appropriate[/edit]

( Bloody Pussies. . .in Leicester 2 years ago, several bags full of Cat heads were discovered in the rubbsh at the rear of a restaurant by health and safety inspectors, and the restaurant was subsequently closed down. . .. . .and the owners were prosecuted. . .I wonder how many had actually eaten CAT curry, instead of chicken. . . ( rhet )

My good mate Jonathan,. . .at Hook Norton Brewery,. . . says he still has had no reports nor alarms from his staff about any suave, sophisticated, well suited and booted Men about town bearing a Mild Aussie accent yet, and is asking if I have upset yet ANOTHER potential customer with my stupid, nay, disgustingly coarse humour. . . ( ! ) I said that PERHAPS, I mean,. . you never know. . .He MIGHT just have other things to do. . . . .

he he he... If he is looking for suave and sophisticated - suited and booted - he won't find me. I only have one suit - it hangs at work and is donned by me every day for the last 3 years (now resplendent with faded knee area of trousers - no where else, sir!)

On account of this week's mercy dash to Aus, the accent is thicker, borader and slangier than ever...

How are the ashes going, sir (ooh.. that is below the belt.. Sorry!)

[edit] of course - there's a lot more play to go.. You may end up feeding me humble pie![/edit]

We have a couple of really GOOD fast bowlers BUT. . .the way the Cricket authorities work here, . .they will never get a sniff of playing for England. Without GOOD, resilient FAST bowlers, the team is wasting airline tickets travelling to OZ in my opinion. . . I don't follow sport much and never have,. . although in my teens, I was a bloody good fast and lethal spin bowler, and played many inter-school matches and never let the side down in that regard. . . but since I discovered Girlies and Rock and Roll groups. . .I sort of drifted away from Cricket, and even got banned from playing in goal in several school soccer teams for being too 'Aggressive' in my Goalmouth protection duties ( ! ) Being the ONLY Goalie EVER to be sent off by the ref in Three games for going for the MAN instead of the bloody ball. . . ( I have to protest the Ref's decision on TWO of these incidents. . . to be fair. . I broke one centre forward's jaw completely by ACCIDENT. . .It was just the way he fell. . . ( Honest Guv )

I remember when I crossed form Aussie rules to soccer (because I was knocked out 3 games in a row - small rover into packs that formed in those days), I obtained a red card in my first game at about the 5 minute mark. Laid a shirt-front shepherd on the other team; was completelty perplexed why the ref blew his whistle - but the mellee that ensued was, well, benign...
