Marty_d
I also know a gorgeous young blonde named Jenna who married a bloke called Tourle... Surely she'd have thought about that and either kept her own surname or hyphenated... blonde ...oh, right.
Old Koreelah
No, not that sort of blonde. She concerted her first name of a hyphenated one.

facthunter
I do indeed remember it, though I've never been in the particular pub, but have been known to frequent some of Melbourne's inner city pubs in the old days when there were no ratbags around to get agro over nothing. M61A1
Nev, you may remember there was a gym owner/instructor in Melbourne in the 80's named Michael Hunt. People used to ring the pub and ask for him. The barmaid would call out "Anyone seen Mike Hunt?" to roars of laughter. Yes, there was a Mike Hunt Car sales at Loganholme too. Phil Perry
Very silly really Reminds me of a cartoon strip in the Melbourne AGE newspaper,. . .called BC Big Wheel. . .based in the stone age. One of the characters, ( An Ant ) crawled all over a sign for a day, and then remarked sadly, that it said "Do not read this sign". . .

hihosland
I did once live in Kaikohe in northern NZ to where new pilots on their first long solo XC could arrive by keeping the ocean on the right and the land on the left. Afore said pilots would land the Auckland aero club plane and commence walking to the public phone box to log in with their instructor. The locals would take great pleasure in calling out to these hapless students "welcome to Kaitia" and watching the result Kaitaia being a place that one could reach by keeping the ocean on the left and the land on the right. spacesailor
Thats wrong, if you travel anticlockwise oppossed to clockwise around an island, the coast will change to the other side of the aircraft. spacesailor
