"Balloon rides cancelled until further notice". Yep - excellent idea, when there's a heap of armed Americans on the warpath. I wouldn't even send up a party balloon at present, it'd be riddled like a colander within seconds of being sighted in the air.

For my grandson's next birthday party, I'm going to make sure I only buy Chinese party balloons. If it takes the USAF to pop them, the bloody kids won't have a chance, and I won't be picking up bits of balloon rubber out of the garden for weeks.

Yesterday, I had a 9:30 appointment with my doctor. Got there before 9:30 and sat in the waiting room. At 9:45 his consulting room door opened and he called in another chap who was in the waiting room when I arrived. I finally got called in at 10:12.  I told him about the above sign. 

 

He said, "That's why it's called a waiting room."
