That's another example of the causes of our current problems with inflation as expressed by the Governor of the Reserve Bank - people spending money on haircuts. If she had her way, people would even stop giving sheep haircuts, saving millions in the costs involved in shearers' wages, product sorting and packaging, and transport. 1

What with the outragous cost of keeping the family pets, is it any any wonder that young newly-weds can't afford their first McMansion? 1
red750 Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Talking about haircuts, my hair is getting a bit unruly, not overlong, but untidy. I was sitting at the computer at the Men's Shed on Thursday when someone put their hand on my shoulder and said "Where do you get your hair done?". I turned around and it was the guy who used to have the barber shop near my place that I used to go to. He has been retired since before the pandemic, and called in for a visit with another shed member. I said, "My son usually does it these days. I need a cut before Christmas." 1
facthunter Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I have to make time for a haircut but I have to make up my mind as to which one. No I jest. It hasn't even receded but it's thin and hard to do a neat job with so I need a professional job to look as if someone owns me. Nev 1
onetrack Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I've got a young Italian barber who does a very good job on my thinning patch - but it seems every time I visit, the price goes up. Maybe he's adding a search fee for hairs. 2

facthunter Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 You pay more for personal attention and Manual skills. Italians are quite artistic. He might give you some investment tips. Nev 1 1

allowera Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 If you haven't seen it already, look up Amazon/UK product reviews "Veet for men". It's an oldie......
Litespeed Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I meant a genetic topical cream, apply it, no more hair there. Want hair, apply the antidote cream. Haven't you guys heard, the cost of people having haircuts is to blame for the inflation and interest rates. We should get a $200 billion grant to investigate it. Forget social housing and community. I am sure Peter Dutton will love the idea.
facthunter Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 It's possible to be under whelmed, ,rather than slightly whelmed. There can be degrees of being impressed. (Unless it's into the services). Nev 2
