red750 Posted October 30, 2024 Posted October 30, 2024 Something came up on Facebook about Doug Parkinson, which reminded me of this one. I don't know if it was posted before. 2

onetrack Posted Sunday at 01:56 AM Posted Sunday at 01:56 AM Yes, I second that, a great musician with some great hits. "Girls on the Avenue" is a favourite of mine. 2
Jerry_Atrick Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM Author Posted Sunday at 04:06 PM He s one of my favourite musicians... This is may favourite song of his, but to be honest, most are so good, it is splitting hairs. Though, I can relate to this a bit from my consulting days where I travelled for months on end... 2
ClintonB Posted yesterday at 05:00 AM Posted yesterday at 05:00 AM It's going to be a bit sad over the next decade when all of our good musicians are gone or can no longer perform. I don't think I could handle.going to a mumble rap show or other genres, that are bad now for old times sake. 1 1
Marty_d Posted yesterday at 09:10 AM Posted yesterday at 09:10 AM There are heaps of good musicians out now. Whatever bands you love from the past, there'd be people doing the same genres now (and in some cases doing them better). I'm the same - stuck in the 80's and 90's, love Metallica / Guns & Roses / AC/DC / Led Zeppelin etc etc... but have heard some ripper covers. Five Finger Death Punch are a modern-ish fave, their version of "House of the Rising Sun" is fantastic. 1 1
