spacesailor Posted December 12, 2017 Posted December 12, 2017 A QUICK FIX for global warming!, Push one of the huge ice meteorites in to Earth's path. It will downsize our over population over-night, the shade provided by the dirty sky will let the snow accumulate on the poles like it was in the last "ICE AGE". Seas will reduce at the delight of the islanders. Coal will not be available due to transport blockage by ice & snow, none nuclear power stations will last a month or two Happy days for some, others will be no-more!. spacesailor
spacesailor Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 A reason for getting more girth is, with less rotation, gravity appears stronger & even lead blocks get a bulge in their middle. spacesailor
spacesailor Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 We've just had a few hot (very) days, so I erected shade sails over most of the back garden, & the grass is twice the height of the yellow grass out front. I'll have to remove them or do a lot more mowing. LoL spacesailor
facthunter Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 You would kid a bloke snakes is Lizards and get him bit Spacey. Those lead sinkers are made like that. Nev
spacesailor Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Give a snake a set of heels, what would you call a four footed snake? Give a snake a set of wing & it's a Dragon.
facthunter Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 You have got me there. I've seen a few dragons '. (Usually on some bloke's arm). Nev
spacesailor Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Here's a nice little dragon!. (Amphibolurus nobbi) The fossil Tetrapodophis amplectu: was a four legged snake or a Lizard. spacesailor

spacesailor Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I noticed in another thread about black & dark colored roofs as well as the black concrete driveways in new housing estates. . could someone be deliberately causing None normal temps just to prove that said temps are rising. spacesailor
Old Koreelah Posted December 30, 2017 Posted December 30, 2017 I noticed in another thread about black & dark colored roofs as well as the black concrete driveways in new housing estates. .could someone be deliberately causing None normal temps just to prove that said temps are rising. spacesailor The concept of "heat islands" has been known for decades. Research on global warming has isolated the effect on temperatures readings of artificial surfaces in and around urban centres. That's why proper scientists measure temperatures all over the globe, and at places far from cities.
facthunter Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 It's considered that the SW of WA has had it's climate permanently affected by the cutting down of trees. It's happening everywhere. What's the big rush? Almost always results in salination. Existing old trees remaining then die.. Nev
spacesailor Posted January 17, 2018 Posted January 17, 2018 I have tested the reflective quality of light colour's on my garage roof, Painted a third of said roof white, and low & behold !, the weather changed straight away and became dammed chilly. LoL spacesailor
spacesailor Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 But it seems cooler inside the garage since I painted the roof. spacesailor
facthunter Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 White is ALL colours reflected . Black is NO colours reflected. Black and white, strictly speaking are not colours. Add white to a colour and you have a tint of that colour. Add black and you have a shade of the colour. You need a pure black or it goes muddy. Some whites have traces of other colours also that may compromise the tint. Nev
Old Koreelah Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Just when I was thinking our grandkids might have time to adapt...now it looks like they'll be swamped by climate refugees before they leave school. The fate of just two glaciers could reshape our future
spacesailor Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 NOW. Which government is going to initiate the plan to make shade cloth, to be deplored in space, between us & the hostile sun!. Defiantly will require ALL country's involvement spacesailor
Yenn Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 I will deplore shade cloth in space. Defiantly. I noticed the other day that the media said if all Australians used sunscreen, the Melanoma problem would be reduced by 30% I used it once and didn't like it. I work outdoors without a shirt and have done for many years, with no melanomas. Is science being reduced to statistics?
kgwilson Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 I used it once and didn't like it. Neither do I. It tastes like sh1t.
facthunter Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Tastes like $#!t How would you know what that tastes like?. Sunscreen.. Full of nano particles. Used to live on the beach. Fit as.. Great tan For a Scot / northern Englander.. Bad melanoma in 1987. Dug a lot of my back out. People say "what's THAT?" I say Sharkbite and they believe me. You people are the FIRST I've told what it really is. Anyhow I'm still alive 31 years later. My Plastic surgeon must have done a a good job. You usually die in a few years , or it comes back in the same place... Sun does damage your skin. There's no doubt about that. You get a bit of a tan and everyone say's "You're looking healthy". There's a thing you can look through and it shows the damage that has been done to your skin. Better you don't know. Ignorance is bliss.. Nev
spacesailor Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 F H What would you expect coming from That land (that the sun forgot) to this sun-soaked land. When wearing my looking glasses I say they're "Pome sun glasses". I can't stand sunglasses but do wear a hat to shade my eyes. spacesailor
facthunter Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 f h (lower case). Good sunglasses help eye health. Essential, particularly after cataract surgery . Helps prevent macular degeneration. Look after your eyes....Nev
spacesailor Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Booked in Westmead Hospital eye department next month for an eye test. spacesailor
facthunter Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 No need to study for that one.. Hope the result is good. Nev
spacesailor Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Still scary. could lose my driving license. And all because I turned 75. spacesaillor
facthunter Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Yes it gets a bit hard up there as age approaches and you want to keep driving. (as most do). Nev
