I certainly wouldn't be welcome there. One Sunday afternoon I was helping out a mate, and realised that I didn't have time to get home and changed before Church. To add the icing on the cake, I was on duty - Bible readings, prayers etc. Quick shower, grubby shorts back on, and the clean t-shirt which read "I'm not Santa! (but you can still sit on my lap)".

 

I wonder what the visitors thought. They never came again.

My experience has shown that it is very important to put on the best of appearances when congregating. It seems that gods are easily impressed by appearances, however false or temporary. It's definitely not appropriate to look like one has been doing menial work.
