facthunter Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 It's been done and continues to be researched by people who like to see some truth in the discussion. An answer based of duff gen won't do anyone any good, long term. Nev
facthunter Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 spacesailor, the single rail injection system is the only one that can achieve the precise multiple process per cycle injection pattern that gives the efficiency and cleaner operation the latest diesels do. The high pressure pumps, which are articles of extreme precision, can't handle sump oil ,waxes, water particles (even ones you can't see) and acids, sulphur, salt etc that fish shop oils contain. Europe has had much higher quality diesel fuels than we have had, and the euro spec engines need it. If you get crap through any line filter your motor stops and you are up for thousands of dollars for new HP pump, lines and injectors.. Nev
spacesailor Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 FT Thanks it makes sense, but when I used Bio-oil from a servo, my 4m40 had a big power increase, and went up over Mt Kosciusko so well, I had to use the brakes before the bends. It was green so could be "palm-oil". spacesailor
facthunter Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 Different product. It's refined but from a different source. the SG of the fuel determines its energy content. All diesel fuels would be about the same. Some other effect must have caused the improved power A higher pressure system with the weather, can make a difference. or maybe the injector pump likes it.
