Easy, tigers.. While I am not entirely happy with the TV tax I pay, this became a bit of a story and it transpires it is one of, ISTR, about 5 positions for trainees journalists; It was one role reserved for minorities; the others open (and from history, usually awarded to non-minorities). BBC accepted not necessarily the best way for inclusion in a proportional way (as I think the allegation was there was nothing stopping minorities getting all of the positions), but recent history was such that the chances were prettly slim.

 

I think LBC picked up on it first in the mainstream media. Of course, as per the "left wing bleeding hear liberal press" having accusation of bias against it, the right wing is probably no better in terms of omitting context. Not saying the right wing were responsible.. but thinking Brietbart again.

According to my grandson's pay!.

 

Lollipop-ladies wages are up there & traffic controller wages are higher.
