spacesailor Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 The death penalty rearly does stop the hard-core criminal. Three strikes and your gone, Or is it just another jail term again. If its found a mistake Has been made. Oops TOO BAD. One in the paper this week, Man got off with murder, and has killed again, Smack hi hand harder this time !. spacesailor
facthunter Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Jail is just the Bluestone College of Applied Criminal Skills. You get the knowledge and the connections at over $100K per annum per person, paid by the taxpayer to Cerco. . Nev
Marty_d Posted May 29, 2018 Posted May 29, 2018 Prison of the future will be at home. No cost to the taxpayer except for the non-removable bracelets which monitor your whereabouts, activity and motion. The AI controlling it gives you warnings if you go near your allowable boundaries and electric shocks if you cross them. Make a threatening motion towards your wife? That arm gets a big shock and alerts the local police/corrections. Actually, with big data being able to predict the likely behaviour of the criminal, corrections will probably be run by Google instead of Cerco. You're right Nev - the worst thing you can do to a young criminal is put him in with even worse ones.

facthunter Posted May 30, 2018 Posted May 30, 2018 DNA evidence found many on death row are innocent. Unfortunately many have already been to the electric chair. For them it's too late. Nev

Nev But that's all right, Nev. To paraphrase the murderous Red commissar Strelnikov in Dr. Zhivago: "A village rebels, a village is burned- even if it's the wrong one, a point is made."
