Reminds me of the advice of "The Specialist"

 

He was a country carpenter who specialised in outhouses. His advice regarding situating the outhouse was to place it near the woodpile. That way if the Lady of the House was making her way to the outhouse and there were workers about, she would abandon the trip to the loo and make it look like she had come out to get some wood for the stove.

My wife vaguely remembered it as being funny when she watched it with her dad many years ago.  So she made me sit through it and we both kind of thought "what the?"

Must be a generational thing.

A lot of it becomes "dated". Some of it was ground-breaking at the time but is now Ho Hum and wtf was THAT all about?

I think you can get the Love Thy Neighbour series on Youtube... It is still quite funny today.. Definitely not PC, which is weird as it mocks the white bigotry of minorities.

Dave Allan is one of the best comedians of all time and even today, most people find his skits funny. I don't like the current crop of comedians, they can't string a sentence together without including a dozen swear words, and they think that embarrassing people, or denigrating people, is the way to get a laugh.
