This good ol' Texas boy is a great yarn-spinner, as long as you can understand his Texan twang.

He's relating a story about some dynamite and a "cistern" (septic system).

You know what the story is going to be, when it involves gung-ho Americans, and words like "watch this!", and "Ah know what Ah'm doing!".

Jimmy Ferris was apparently a noted Texan yarn king. That's his brother in the background. They've both passed on.

That's not funny. I'd expect something like that given the presidential selection criteria.

I'm surprised they didn't use a George W Bush clone as the President.

Presidential advisor: "Sir, we lost 6 Brazilian peacekeepers in that last terrorism attack".

Bush: "Really? How many numbers is there in a Brazilian, anyway?"

The European Leaders said it was hopeless TRYING to talk to BUSH as he only talked to God.. AND they think IRAN is nuts!!.   The people there KNOW how BAD a Theocracy IS. The Americans are heading for one and don't know enough to realise it.WE are just as BAD with Morrison and Perrottet. Pentecostal and Opus Dei.  Nev

"The Americans are heading for one"? I thought America was a theocracy from around the American Civil War onwards. This is the nation that puts God on its money, and has always done so since that time.

However, the problem is, they worship their currency and money-making schemes, and have forgotten all about worshipping God first, and carrying out his Commandments.

Seems pretty clear to me. The bloke at the rear is steering the rear bogie. I'm sure that the Americans had fire engines where the ladder base was on a steerable bogie unit. I can't find a picture.

But at least the firies have their own fancy glass-enclosed cabin! - and it's on TOP! The bloke under the wide load hasn't even got a windscreen, nor even a full face helmet!

Imagine the road debris he's copping from the prime mover tyres? One decent rock in the face and you'd be history - and your steering ability for the rear bogie would be right out - like the steering bloke!

Moving wind turbine blades by road requires this sort of steering.
A few years ago it was big news on the local TV when one of the long blades was delicately moved through Tamworth traffic.

A couple of years later I was passing through Glen Innes and diverted west to check out the new wind farm. Was surprised to find over a hundred big turbines spinning away. They had moved hundreds of the ultra-long blades up the New England Highway without incident.
