old man emu Posted October 25, 2018 Posted October 25, 2018 I had cause to visit a loo at Sydney University recently and was amazed to see this pictogram on the wall Apparently these signs are now needed because of the large number of South-east Asians attending the university. The situation is not unique to Australia: Do you squat or sit? Bizarre toilet etiquette signs ‘aimed at Asian tourists’
spacesailor Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 They (scientist) say Squating is best for the bowl. I think Perching is dangerous to ones health.( slipping off the Wet rim) spacesailor
nomadpete Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I agree there, Spacey. Worse, still, after you slip off the rim, you'll fall over again on the wet floor.
David2ayo Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Who needs a sign when you can just soap up the rim?
red750 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 Squating is best for the bowl. Is that bowl or bowel?
spacesailor Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Tis Both ! Bowl, that that you'r closer to. Bowel, that empties easier. Unless you slip, then push sshhiitt uphill. LoL spacesailor
Yenn Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Try sitting on an Asian loo. A bit messy I think.
old man emu Posted October 30, 2018 Author Posted October 30, 2018 Try sitting on an Asian loo. A bit messy I think. I'd try it, but I bet my stiff joints would never let me up.
spacesailor Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 Surely the other's, will have Something for the elderly that can't crouch. spacesailor
nomadpete Posted October 31, 2018 Posted October 31, 2018 I think the elderly are not expected to crouch. Last time I visited an Indonesian loo, it looked a lot like most don't bother to crouch. They just bend slightly and aim at the nearest wall
spacesailor Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 Are you sure its not Graffiti Poo poo what a site, spacesailor
pmccarthy Posted November 14, 2018 Posted November 14, 2018 When I was at uni nearly 50 years ago the cleaner would follow asians into the loo and if he couldn’t see feet under the door he would chuck a bucket of water over the top.
