I had cause to visit a loo at Sydney University recently and was amazed to see this pictogram on the wall

Apparently these signs are now needed because of the large number of South-east Asians attending the university.

 

The situation is not unique to Australia: Do you squat or sit? Bizarre toilet etiquette signs ‘aimed at Asian tourists’

They (scientist) say Squating is best for the bowl.

 

I think Perching is dangerous to ones health.( slipping off the Wet rim)

Surely the other's, will have Something for the elderly that can't crouch.

I think the elderly are not expected to crouch. Last time I visited an Indonesian loo, it looked a lot like most don't bother to crouch. They just bend slightly and aim at the nearest wall

When I was at uni nearly 50 years ago the cleaner would follow asians into the loo and if he couldn’t see feet under the door he would chuck a bucket of water over the top.
