There's a bunch of idiots in the crowd at the ATP tennis in Sydney blowing klaxon horns. It makes it very unpleasant viewing. Surely the authorities will nip that in the bud before long.

Ash Barty won at Roland Gaross or whatever it is called. Now I would like to see her made coach of Australias mens cricket team. Some of her ability would possibly develop a team that could play decent cricket. Not the "its just not cricket" that they seem to be able to get away with.

What do you say about the Aussie cricket team now, Yenn, after a clean sweep against the Kiwis?

As for the tennis, my son was in Brisbane for the Brisbane International, now in Adelaide. I don't know if Adelaide will be telecast, they are in qualifying at present, I think the tournament starts tomorrow. Then back home for the Oz Open.

Cricket I looking up, but I still hear people saying that Smith should be captain again. A position he had and showed he was unfit for.

We are out of the tennis. Does anyone remember our 11 Grand slam winners, including 6 Wimbledon. I don't think the Williams sisters or any of the current crop can equal that.

Congratulations to Ash Barty for her win in Adelaide; a good confidence boost going into the Australian Open.

The area where I live is a bit dodgy for Channel 9 live coverage of the AO. Ok in good weather, but the digital signal goes bad with any rain or storms. Channel 7 was always bulletproof here, but to be sure to not miss any tennis with channel 9, it pays to have the net live stream 9 Now at the ready as a backup. One issue with the 9 Now player is that it only has the small default mode and full screen view. It would be good if it had a mid size view like Youtube. I find the small player view to be a bit too small. The good news is that this year the full screen view seems to have improved the resolution quality compared to last year.

If all else fails, there's always the wireless.

Go back to smoke signals maybe, though even that's no good as the skies are already full of smoke. The Earlier radio coverage of the cricket included FAKE sound of bats hitting the ball done somehow with a matchbox.  Australia's communications situation must be ranked about 35 th in the world . Just imagine what we'd be if we weren't the CLEVER Country.? Nev

Third world?

You lucky lucky barstard.

I tried getting the cricket coverage with ABC radio and no chance. Grandstand was playing some crap instead.

Just not cricket!

You can see Aunty is suffering from funding cuts.

It was great. So was Ash with the Baby niece.

No body takes defeat as well as Ash.

It is never about "I" but "we" as a team and complementing her opponent.

Grace and poise are just part of her DNA.

So is a wicked and smart sense of humour.

She did a presser after winning a Title and quoted her favourite Disney characters to make a excellent  funny speech.

No surprise Disney picked her as a sponsor big time.

Meanwhile Dlyan Allcott did what he does and prove he is the greatest tennis player on wheels, the world has ever seen. Six times Australian Open Champion and he was completely dominant with a friendly huge smile.

I wish Rafa would buy some decent undies. With his money, surely he can afford them. He must buy them at the wedgie shop. No other players get constant wedgies like he does. Y fronts might help.

Rafa has had that same routine before serving - forehead, left ear, right ear, forehead, nose, etc for years. It must work - he's right up there.

You forgot the ' shorts '  bit !.

That's what starts it. Always the pull down of the rear wedgie first. The front wedgie doesn't happen every time but the back one does, then the aforementioned  forehead, ear, nose stuff.

football in a sense brings almost all these emotions in ninety minutes

In the case of Rugby League, the latest delivery of emotions include predictability and boredom, with a goodly dash of robotics.
