Don't get me wrong here, But I LIKE Donald Trump.

The article that rgmwa posted is essentially a 2024 Trump government agenda that is based on total vindictiveness, and nothing less. One hopes that Trumps divisiveness has reduced his voter base to below an electable level. Once another Republican candidate opposes him and stands for the Presidency, we'll see Trump produce abuse and vilification of the candidate, that will be breathtaking.

Yeah... because without him, it isn't under threat, right? https://www.businessinsider.com/mtg-said-american-people-deserve-see-naked-photos-hunter-biden-2023-7?r=US&IR=T

I guess the US, and by default most of the western world is imploding on itself

(removal of stage 3 tax cuts anyone, even though many who would benefit from it have said they oppose them going forward)

The MS media have done a great job of convincing voters not to trust government. Voter turnout in the US is appallingly low and the obscene Republicans are making it much harder for minorities to vote.

The Democrats should be campaigning with the slogan

“vote while you still can”. If they don’t turn out to toss out this utterly corrupt congress, they’ll lose the chance.

If Trump gets back in the White House Australia will be in a real pickle too;

No Nuclear subs, alliances shredded, trade insanity…and lots of US refugees.

Although I'm no fan of MSM, in this case I disagree somewhat.

The voters have been skeptical for so long now that I think it is hereditary.

For about the last 50 years the  "theme" of" your government is your enemy" has been never ending in films. Trump famously "or INFAMOUSLY" boasted he could shoot someone in the street in broad  daylight and get away with it.  Sounds more like a Mafia Boss that the C in C of the US  Armed forces who HE constantly refers to as Suckers and Losers but still the Republican Party does nothing to have him Account  for his Outright LIES   abuse of office and   GROSS Ethical shortcomings and personality disorders.  Nev

And DT is helped along by the mealy-mouthed gutless RP leaders in Congress, such as Mitch McConnell - who has to have been afflicted with some kind of brain defect for the last 10 years, for him to even support DT!

Now it looks like MM is suffering from some form of real brain damage from his recent fall (or was he already in the early stages of dementia when he fell over?) - as evidenced by his recent stoppage in mid-speech, followed by the vacant stare for 20 seconds, when people around him were asking him if he was O.K.?

There are calls (from many Republicans) for MM to step down, such is the concern for his ability to function effectively as a politician from here on in. Once he goes, DT might not get the same unquestioning support that his lap dog MM gave him.

Unfortunately, Trump still has plenty of support from Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan and a bunch of other misfits. Trump doesn't have a good word to say about McConnell (or his wife). McConnell didn't get along with Trump either, but was willing to let him off the hook on the impeachments because his priority was keep the Democrats out of power and make sure the Supreme Court was conservative.  He had no scruples when it came to manipulating the system to achieve what he wanted. Unfortunately it seems that he has now has some serious health issues which no one would wish on him, but I can't see that he will be there much longer.

One would assume that he has something that takes care of basic life-maintaining needs, but as for the higher cognitive abilities to function in a complex social group - who knows?

So, Trump has come another gutser in his constant round of frivolous and factless lawsuits. He sued CNN for $714M for defamation, because CNN referred to his constant claims of election fraud as, "The Big Lie".

So Trump got really really hurt by that, and claimed that CNN's wording associated him with Hitler. Once again, the judge threw the case out of court as not having a shred of legal standing.

Yes, but sadly, in obiter:

"CNN's statements, while repugnant, were not, as a matter of law, defamatory," wrote Judge Singhal, who sits in federal court in Fort Lauderdale

I doubt Trump and his legal team thought they had a chance, but getting these quotes are gold for his relentless campaign, despite it being inaccurate as The Big Lie was entirely consistent with Trump's campaign to overturn the election. In fact, the judge's reasoning is flawed, because it was a statement of fact, not opinion, and to throw the case out based on it being accurate would harm Trump rather than help him.

[Edit] And yes, the judge was a Trump nomination

As someone mentioned though, every time he gets charged he puts the call out and his moronic base pay up.

Apparently even if he is imprisoned (unlikely) there's nothing in the constitution to prevent him from being president from jail.  I'd be fascinated to see how the secret service handles that one, although I'm assuming it'd either be some minimum security vacation or home arrest (in the White House?) rather than a supermax with the other scum.

I know it's an American thing, but why continue to call him President Trump? He might be ex-President, but also defeated in the last election. There may be some excuse if he left office after the maximum eight years, but he didn't.

I'd like to say its because they are delusional and still think he has power,
or that its a media thing to try and convince people he has the right to the position.

but think its just convention.
we still use president Bush, President Clinton and President Obama - though  Obama is probably the most used without the title

What be tried by the people HE calls "suckers and Losers?"  His DOCTOR claimed he as a FOOT problem to get out of being called up.  He only opens his mouth to change feet. (I can't believe all this is really happening). He asked (Demanded) that Pence say the poll was rigged. The Gallows that was taken to the seat of Democracy was for PENCE   Nev
