Marty_d Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Only a moron like Trump could look at what Musk did to Twitter and think it a good idea to let him loose on the government. 1 2
rgmwa Posted November 13 Posted November 13 Can’t see Musk and Ramaswamy working together too well. 1 1
willedoo Posted November 13 Posted November 13 I have doubts Trump's new best friend Elon will last long. Raging egos like that are bound to clash. I read an unconfirmed source that said Musk is already starting to act like the co-president. Musk's weirdness will most likely get too much even for Trump. Donald is at risk of being out-weirded if he keeps the buffoon around. I give him a few months at best. 2 1
onetrack Posted November 14 Posted November 14 Can we send both Elon and Donald to Mars, on the first of Elons spacecraft to the planet? That's the best way of saving this planet from their destructive, self-serving rampages. 1

facthunter Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Didn't HE put a Tesla in orbit? . Put them in it and bring it back down. "Catch a Falling Star" Nev 1
Marty_d Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I think they sent that car towards the sun. Actually that would be karma... the most use Trump could be to the world is to provide that miniscule additional fuel for the sun, so he can become a few photons for solar energy. 1

This thread is called "But I Like Donald Trump". You are starting to sound like you don't. Edited November 16 by nomadpete But what sort of echo chamber is this anyway? 2 1
facthunter Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Worthy people LEAD. Others follow. People with their own version of reality are among us . Be very afraid. THEY also Vote (when allowed). Nev

facthunter Posted November 17 Posted November 17 The popularised ones need not be taken notice of. They are often with feet of CLAY . There ARE natural leaders. The blind CANNOT lead the blind either... Nev
nomadpete Posted November 24 Posted November 24 BTW, maybe somebody should tell Mr T that USA is only a minor part of america. If he wants to 'Make America Great Again', the MAGA team must help Canada, Brazil, Argentina, Patagonia etc,..... and goodness me.... Mexico! 2 1
facthunter Posted November 24 Posted November 24 HE only got the spelling wrong. He really meant "GRATE". Nev 1 1 1
old man emu Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I am hoping that Trump is not assassinated while he is President. Apart from the fact that killing any human is abhorrent, I think that the idea that his Vice-President would step up to the plate with no idea how to bat is scary. In living memory only two Vice-Presidents have stepped in to take the place of a deceased President - Truman and Johnson. Both these men were experienced in government from the State level to the Senate. Ignoring their policies, at least they knew how to operate within the system. Vance, on the other hand has not had that essential experience. While Trump will dominate the headlines as president, a close eye will be kept on Vance's approach to key policy issues such as abortion, immigration and foreign policy — and how his stances could shape the Republican Party's post-Trump era. Though the vice president's job is seldom in the spotlight, with Trump re-entering office at 78, there is a higher than usual chance Vance could end up sitting in the Oval Office at some point in the next four years. Should Trump die from whatever cause, would Vance have the political skills to be a leader and not the led? 1 2
nomadpete Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Yes, thinking about USA's leadership is a bit like pondering the Russian head of state. In either case, plan 'B' is more frightening than plan 'A'. 2

pmccarthy Posted November 30 Posted November 30 In about 1966 I watched a series called “ the recollections of Harry S Truman” which was largely based on interviews with him. Very interesting to me as a young bloke. I would watch it again. 1 1

pmccarthy Posted November 30 Posted November 30 I just looked that series up. It was made in 1964-65 and was called "Decision: the conflicts of Harry S. Truman". It is all available on Youtube. 1 1
nomadpete Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Now please don't think this post is in any way connected with the Thread. I am re-reading Jon Ronson's book 'The Psychpath Test'. Like the first time I read it, I am frightened. But for some reason, this time I am even more frightened. 1
facthunter Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Despots get madder as they stay in power and then staying in Power is their Main aim. Trumps MOB is about the worst possible out come so watching it evolve will be interesting to say the Least. HE doesn't care a tuppenny stuff for the Rest of the WORLD.. IT's ALL about HIM. Nev 2
