onetrack Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 There was a Chinese businessman, Yun Chung Chang, who at 100 in 2018, had only just handed the CEO reins over to his son. He died in 2020 aged 102. There have been a number of American CEO's over 100. But the current crop of aged U.S. politicians needs a good infusion of new blood. A lot of them just don't know when to go. 1

red750 Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 'Game over': Expert says Trump attorney just landed a 'bullseye for prosecutors' ADonald Trump attorney provided damning evidence against the former president in the Mar-a-Lago documents case — and a legal analyst said it will almost certainly lead to a conviction once the case finally goes to trial. ABC News reported that Trump attorney Jennifer Little told a grand jury that she "very clearly" warned the ex-president that he must comply with a federal subpoena for the classified documents he took home from the White House, and she's "absolutely" certain that he understood that failure to do so would be a "crime" — testimony that stunned CNN legal analyst Elie Honig Thursday. "It's a bullseye for prosecutors and right down the middle of what they have to prove for obstruction of justice," Honig said. "Let's remember that it's the federal Mar-a-Lago classified documents case, part of the indictment relates to the mishandling of classified documents, part of it relates to obstruction of justice. "If you're a prosecutor and you have to prove obstruction, you have to show that the defendant, in this case Donald Trump, knew he had a subpoena, knew he had to comply and intentionally did not do so, and this witness, Trump's former and, by the way, current lawyer, has told the grand jury straight up, no ambiguity, 'You have to comply, if you don't, it's a crime,' and he said, 'I got it, I understand.'" "If the jury accepts that," Honig added, "game over, he's guilty." 1 1
nomadpete Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 I give that a'laugh' emoji because the whole circus is laughable. 1
facthunter Posted November 30, 2023 Posted November 30, 2023 It's too serious to be funny. When is the book coming out? How America was stolen from the inside by a ginger Psycho Conman.. Nev 1
rgmwa Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 (edited) The judge in that case, Aileen Cannon, is slowing the trial process to make sure it doesn’t start until after the election. She has already been criticised a couple of times by appellate courts for making rulings in Trump’s favour. It’s noteworthy that Trump has not said a word about her while calling every other judge he’s up against every name and slur he can think of. Edited December 1, 2023 by rgmwa 1
old man emu Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 Coincidence, ot not?? You be the judge. She was nominated by then President Donald Trump to become a district judge and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in November 2020. 2
facthunter Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 He "appointed the Judicial positions with as many of HIS people as he could arrange. HE wants a "Stacked Deck". This is how Tyrants operate. Trumtler lives. Nev 1 1
willedoo Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 If Trump was the loser a lot of people say he is, we wouldn't even bother talking about him. The only reason half the world is taking notice of him is that there's a very real possibility he will be the next President of the United States. As it stands, he's the leading Republican contender and polling shows him in with a chance against Biden. Without all that, we could just forget about him. 2
rgmwa Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 For someone who's a compulsive liar, he's actually told the truth about his plans for a next term. Hopefully enough Americans may eventually believe what he says and vote against him, but half the country believes all his other lies. Churchill said "You can always trust the Americans to do the right thing ........ after they've tried everything else". Hopefully he's right or the next few years are going to get ugly and not just for the Americans. 1
onetrack Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 The sad part is the Democrats have no backup plan if Joe drops off the perch tomorrow. They should have a suitable replacement waiting in the wings. None of the current Democrat "potential leaders" have any "street cred". Kamala Harris is a liability and the Democrats will go into a free-for-all bunfight, jockeying for positions, if anything happens to Joe. 1
rgmwa Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 I think they should give Pete Buttigieg a go. 1
facthunter Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Trump could die too. How organised are the GOP to handle that?. He's not exactly a fitness and Health fanatic. Nev 1
nomadpete Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Neither trump nor Biden are very likely to outlive the next presidential innings. 1
facthunter Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I wouldn't guess what the Odds are. Good medical attention would count for a lot and I'm sure it's available to both. Nev 1

kgwilson Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Trump would get a negative result, claim it to be a democrat conspiracy to destroy his democracy & call it a fake. 1 1
facthunter Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Put a Contract on the Doctor till he changed the form. He got out of military service by finding he had crook feet. (maybe they had his teeth marks on them) 1
nomadpete Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Oh for goodness sakes, give the poor old buggah a break. He had a difficult childhood you know. And he is never likely to need a class 2 anyway. He doesn't have the attention span to learn to fly. 1 1

willedoo Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Poor Pete copped a rather awkward name for a gay bloke. But I guess by now he's well used to being the butt of people's jokes. 1
