And Eric Trump claims the best thing about his father is his "unvarnished" honesty.

Maybe he's having a sly dig.  If the BEST thing about Trump is his honesty, then he has no good attributes at all.

What, she grabs women on the pussy too?

To be having a sly dig, Eric would have to see the irony, which he wouldn't. Don't know whether Ivanka does that or not, but unlike her dad, she would at least be smart enough not to brag about it in public.

Truly Horrifying': Trump allies already making list of federal employees to target

Aright-wing organization allied with presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump and funded by the group behind Project 2025 has reportedly begun assembling a list of federal employees deemed potentially disloyal to the former president, an effort that is drawing comparisons to the McCarthyite crusades of the 1950s.

The American Accountability Foundation (AAF), headed by former Republican Senate staffer Tom Jones, is "digging into the backgrounds, social media posts, and commentary of key high-ranking government employees, starting with the Department of Homeland Security," The Associated Pressreported Monday.

The group, according to AP, is "relying in part on tips from his network of conservative contacts, including workers." AAF, which received a $100,000 grant from the Heritage Foundation—the right-wing group spearheading Project 2025—intends to publish its list online once it's completed.

Melania Trump ‘may not live in White House if Donald is elected president’

Former First Lady Melania Trump reportedly may not move back to the White House if her husband, Donald Trump, regains the presidency.

The prospect of Melania living in Washington, DC, full-time again is ‘doubtful’, according to several experts on her who spoke with Axios.

Melania would most likely fly between the couple’s Mar-a-Lago home in Palm Beach, Florida, and New York City, and only go to the White House for state dinners and other official events, they predicted.

Of note is that their son, Barron Trump, reportedly had New York University at the top of his list of colleges to attend this fall.

Melania ‘clearly hated being in Washington’ and ‘she’s distancing herself even more from her husband and from the Washington social political scene’, Kate Anderson Brower, who has written multiple books on first ladies and the White House, told Axios on Monday.

Mary Jordan, author of The Art of Her Deal: The Untold Story of Melania Trump, said that what makes her ‘stand out in history from any other first lady’ is that ‘her view is unelected, not paid’.

Trump does it again. After saying Joe Biden should take a cognative test at at Rep convention, he reminded the audience about the test he took.

“Doc Ronny Johnson. Does everyone know Ronny Johnson, congressman from Texas? He was the White House doctor, and he said I was the healthiest president in history, so I liked him very much indeed immediately,” Trump said. Only problem was, the doctors name was Jackson.

I listened on the radio to a piece about Trump that was created when he announced his candidacy in 2016. The point it made was that Trump's success prior to that was due simply to the fact that he was/is an expert in "monetising celebrity". In other words, the media makes money through reporting on what he does, good or bad. Reporting on what he does is a sort of celebrity endorsement of the newspaper or other media outlet that carries those reports.

What was said in that piece was that although Trump had oodles of celebrity status, he had no political experience. The piece compared him to Ronald Reagan, who had celebrity status through his acting career. What was different with Regan was that he had the political experience. Reagan twice served as the president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1947 to 1952 and from 1959 to 1960. He was elected governor of California in 1966, and served until 1975 when he became President. From the mid-60s Trump was just a rich New York playboy who rode on the back of his father's political and financial connections.

A "Spoiled Brat" who can't tolerate not getting what HE wants. Uses chapter 11 bankruptcy law to avoid paying debts. He reckons the TRUMP BRAND is worth Billions.. Those who paid for it can't afford to see him lose it,as it devalues THEIR investments..  Nev

That is exactly the result of Trump monetising his celebrity.

Well it finally happened, an attempt at assassination. The first since Reagan or one of the Kennedy's I am not sure. While I don't condone such actions if it was successful things may have gotten easier for Biden. Now the recriminations begin. The MAGA mob will be baying for Democrats blood blaming them for everything to cause a 20 year old to try this. Not only that Donny will be full on using the attempt to his advantage. A bit like a Muslim Martyr would.

I don't know for sure where the person was who was fatally shot, but I imagine they must have been sitting in the stand behind him. I wonder if the person had to pay a lot to get to sit there?

Karma is a bitch.

He was in the raised seating behind Trump. I'd guess it was for higher paying people and those with invites. Most of the crowd was on the flat ground in front.

Trump is lucky to be alive. The security was that bad that a low shooting skilled kid with his dad's rifle was able to climb onto a roof 150 metres away and wing him. An average shooter could reasonably have ended his life. I read an opinion by a shooting expert who gave distance and windage estimates (about 50 mm drift with the 5.56mm rounds on the wind level at the time), so a head shot was quite achievable for a fairly average shooter. If it was a professional hit, it would have been easy, especially if there was a second shooter given the below average performance of the Secret Service operatives on the stage with Trump. Two minutes elapsed between the time the public started alerting the police and the first shots. If the police on the ground near the shooter had comms with the SS, the shooter probably wouldn't have been able to get a shot off before being neutralised.
