I thought.

 

We only need five satellites to cover this globe of ours.

 

And a couple at the poles ! SEVEN ?

 

Perhaps they are going to Tether the other 443 in a line. So centrifugal force will push the against the tether & keep them in orbit longer. ( faster spin( like their adverts)) Can also help catch all that debris up there. LoL

Talking about tethers, I wish they'd invent a material strong enough to create a space elevator.

 

Just imagine that... instead of blowing tons of rocket fuel to lift a few hundred kg to orbit, an oversized lift car could do the same thing at 5 kph.

Your kite string would need to be more than 36,000 km long.

With ultra-long lines the weight of the cable becomes a limiting factor. Before sonar, depth-sounding of oceans involved miles of heavy cable that could break under its own weight.
