So... black & white image from "Under Siege", which involved aircraft when an F-18 was shot down by the CWIS. .... but in reality, probably the Russian men of the 32nd Guards Regiment in Cuba, 1963. Damn Google image search!
willedoo Posted February 22, 2019 Author Posted February 22, 2019 Looks like Google gets the cigar, Marty. I started researching the 32GIAP after acquiring a Cuban flight suit from a Ukrainian. The pilots and support crew were under orders to wear civvies on the trip over and while off duty in Cuba. On duty, they mainly wore Cuban gear. Here's the ship. [ATTACH]49900._xfImport[/ATTACH]
