old man emu Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Another election has been held and the people of New South Wales have re-elected a patrician government. So be it. However I believe that those who chose those patrician values should immediately begin to put them into practice. After all, it would be heretical to accept the things done by that mob of plebeians who once tore power from those to whom it rightfully belongs. Therefore, starting Monday 25 march 2019, all those who cast their vote in favour of the patricians will: Return to working 10 hours per day, six days per week, without a retirement age. Accept whatever remuneration, without consultation, employers decide to pay. Abandon claims to recreational leave, parenting leave, sick leave and the like. Accept that injuries or death occasioned in the course of employment are just a part of Life, and do not have to be compensated for. Abandon universal health care, and accept whatever premiums and conditions the private sector insurers demand. Cease accepting employer contributions to workers' superannuation. Abandon expectations of social security benefits in the event of sickness, disability or old age. Accept the return of serfdom.
old man emu Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 So you didn't vote Liberal? Wash your keyboard!
spacesailor Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 NO ONE DID I was surprised they held power, with every-one stating "Enough is Enough", "Time for change", Give us back our roads", (bikers pushing cars over double lines). spacesailor
Marty_d Posted March 24, 2019 Posted March 24, 2019 Bugger! I've been flat out all weekend, missed the NSW election news completely. Ah well, I guess I was happy not knowing...
old man emu Posted March 24, 2019 Author Posted March 24, 2019 We've had the Elizabethan era, the Victorian era, and now we enter the Gladysian era. Gladys is the first female politician to win a State election. We have finally reached gender equality, by proving that a woman can be as arrogant and double-dealing as any man.

Really, no need though. As for Latham winning a seat, I guess One Nation voters are insane, so they are truly represented.
spacesailor Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 This is the first year I've Not filled in Below, the simple party line. As the long hobble to the school, it seemed twice the distance it was before my hip played up !. And was too tired to go through the Metre long list of Hopefuls. spacesailor

The bulldozers are busy flattening the bush throughout rural NSW. She had to keep the National party voters happy.
red750 Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Undercover video on TV this morning showing James Ashby asking the NRA in America for money. "With ten million doloars we could get eight senators, get the balance of power and change Australia."
Old Koreelah Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Good to see that the great One Nation is looking after our best interests...
storchy neil Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 I think it ain’t going to make mutch diferance as those voters can see that labour led by the nose idiots of the union Bullxxxx to labour getting you lower electricity prices with a 50% off renewable energy your kWh will triple now Bullxxxx to your cheaper rent as negative gearing is cut So goodby to new hospitals new inforstructor will not happen when they ban coal exports as they the labour have stated new taxes happy workers working to pay more taxes good luck Neil
Litespeed Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 I don't think even a Babblefish could translate that.

Marty_d Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 C3-PO knows 6 million forms of communication. He may have been able to help, but he was in a distant galaxy - a long, long time ago.
nomadpete Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Actually it was a long, long time ago, somehow a long time in the future. Care to Explain that?.......

Marty_d Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Yep. If you could see far enough, you'd be looking at the back of your own head. (Goes one theory!)
