Do the cops count the number of seats over there?

Probably the coppers don't count the seats, but I expect the insurance company to, if you have a prang. Then it would come to light that the vehicle was not legally roadworthy.......

The SouthAustralian police pull over a convoy of " jackaroo car Club " ,

And fined them, as Holden hadn't,t made the 7 seater 4X4 . Compliance plate , as it has two weight limited dicki seats. Put in by the manufacturers. . Holden made the compliance  as 5 seats.

So yes certain states do check your compliance plate .

I'd like to see that one in court.  Can't see how the owner of a factory built vehicle can be held in any way responsible for the manufacturer failing to comply with relevant legislation.

Holden denied any responsibility,  $ told us to get it reconplianced ourselves

Then they discontinued the Jackaroo , $ told us ( club member's ) to go buy their Ute as a replacement.

When you say the dickie seats were "put in by the manufacturer", what do you mean? Did the car roll off the assembly line with them or were they an aftermarket addition?

Assembled by the ISUZU  MANUFACTURER,  WITH SEVEN SEATS ,!

But

Compliance by Holden motors . As a five seater.

Now , my Old Jack is retired to a farm .

Right.  So it's not an aftermarket item, the body of the car was manufactured that way.

I'd tell the cops that I respectfully refuse the ticket because I've done nothing wrong, and see them in court.

If they want to charge someone then they can charge Isuzu for not meeting the compliance rules.

Wait a bit

Isuzu , sold a seven seater,  that the  importer had to add an ' Australian compliance plate ' ,

If those seats were removed,  it would have complied.

AND

I for one would look elsewhere for the seven seater  I needed.

Who checks that compliance plate  on a new car.

This is typical of anyone - not only right wingers - to try and push an argument - they focus on a narrow question that, without context, can talk to their agenda. The deputy secretary is attempting to put context into his answer, and the senator doesn't allow him and focuses on one thing. Then the vid stops there, which again, doesn't show the whole thing. What was the outcome of the end of the session?

This sort of stuff was exemplified in coverage of some lock down protest in Aus.. where all channels but one showed footage that told one story, and one TV station showed footage of the same event which told a completely different story. Which one to believe?

Sadly, all of us fall for this trick, and probably use it, especially when it confirms the narrative we want.

I would like to see what the whole game plan is.. and not just focus on a single outcome of it, as if it will be the only thing to have an impact on world temperature. For example, the US is one of the largest global gross importers; if they have commence the investment, a) they are taking leadership in which others may follow; and b) they may say to countries that wish to export to the world's largest economy, "Hey, we have are doing it/done it. Level playing field means we will only take imports from countries that have, or are well on the way to doing it".

You will then see how quickly other countries will fall into line (greenwashing included).

The commercialising of this water production mechanism should be fast tracked (assuming his facts check out). Australia needs a backup that is less wateful than desal plants.

The biggest eye opener in that clip for me, is the presently accepted USA cost of domestic water.

California - $100/month

National average $50/month

Wow!

Makes me so grateful for our water tanks.

The chemical equation of ammonia and oxygen produces nitric oxide can be written as:

  1. 4NH3+5O2→4NO+6H2O
  2. (ammonia) + (oxygen) =>(nitric oxide) +(water)

This reaction takes place at 800°C. Do you get that hot in an ICE? And isn't nitric oxide a serious acidic pollutant?

Similar temps to Paraffinic fuels. NO is laughing Gas isn't it? Was used in anaesthesia. Makes people tell the truth (darkest secrets.) How will the system cope with that?  Promotes plant growth.  Nev

I think it still is. I heard the anesthetists talking about it three weeks ago just before they put me under. One of them put the mask on me with the old story that it's just O2 to help me breathe. I seemed to have that mask on for a lot longer than normal and it smelled funny, a bit like ether. Then the No.1 anesthetist asked No.2 whether she had nitrous in it. She said ok, I'll add some if you want it. I still didn't pass out, so No.1 said alright let's do it now and did the injection. I wonder if they add the nitrous just to calm the patient.
