Illegal Immigrants ? ? ? ? ?

Your really having trouble getting this, FT, firstly they are illegal immigrants, nothing at all like refugees or asylum seekers. Second ,Indonesia is a hugely corrupt country that postulates about their sovereignty yet thinks nothing of allowing ours to be afflicted by criminal activities originating in their country. Third ,and most haters of free speech really bung this on, Islam is a religion ,not a race, so to call someone with an adverse option of the Islamic cult a racist is ,frankly, ridiculous( in fact it seems fine to give the Christian faith a blast ,but please don't pick on the Muslims) fourthly ,your shining knights ,the Rudd,Gillard,Rudd circus killed a lot of these illegals with rubbish watermelon driven policy, which brings us to why your so annoyed the the LNP is trying to stop this activity, less boat lowers the risk to lives, unless of course it's the mere thought that something enacted by anyone other than the watermelons could actually be a good thing !As for telling us everything that happens ,every minute of every damn hour , I wonder if Gillard and her nemisis are sitting at home thinking " maybe the 24/7 coverage of our train wreck wasn't such a good thing" ,

NO MM...You are really not getting it. "They" are people...flesh and blood...women...children...men...just like you.

And, just like me and the thousands who come to our country , they shouldn't make their first act here breaking the laws here!

As for women and children the beloved ALP killed heaps of them, maybe you ,the ABC and the greens/ALP should be supporting the efforts to shut down this disgusting trade in people instead of bleating about press releases!

They are illegal - acting against the laws of Australia - they are not refugees, refugees are being allowed into Australia direct from the camps outside the borders of their own countries.

I understand your emotions, about starving refugees, but I and others have already posted correct information in this thread which you have judged with pathetic "creative" or "optimistic" remarks to the point where you've branded yourself as not worth listening to.

There's no such thing as an illegal asylum seeker when Australia has agreed to the UNHCR charter on refugees.

I know the LNP are desperate to have some sort of victory on this issue cause they have failed to make any head way on the carbon tax and have given up on ever repaying the debt. This really is the only issue they have any chance with if only temporarily. Once the monsoon season passes, the indonesians will be back to business.

Again we hear from the "cloth ears", who never listen to the salient and accurate points led by their opponents in this debate. This "trade in people" represents the ONLY way that desperate families, fleeing for their lives, have of escaping the unspeakable depredations of their political enemies. These same people have never thought about accessing the multiple sources on the internet which detail in horrifying terms the suffering from which they seek escape. So they recite the lines supplied by the VIEWSPAPERS (thanks Facthunter***) that "the ALP are cold blooded Killers" and similar rubbish. Great argument boys! (Try harder next time if you seek to change our views.)

I previously mentioned that the government needs to address the post - manufacturing era for Australia.

Here's a sobering view from Ford Motor Company:

[Warning some viewers may be offended by the fact that this was published by Rupert Murdoch, is offered by a capitalist, and is presented by someone who has a job]

Anyone got a credible source for the illegal claim?

The fact that some of them have since decided to return home rather than stay here, would be a very strong hint they they were not genuine to begin with, and therefore illegal.

Keep on making ts stuff up guys...TP..you made the claim. A post to a sight about Australian law doesn't prove anything. You need to look it up.

I did look it up, days ago and that's why I've been saying what I've been saying, only to get "creative ratings from you.

I'm very comfortable with the thread title, and that it's appropriate for Australia at the present time.

Since you apparently had difficulty finding a simple piece of legislation here goes:

Click on http://www.comlaw.gov.au/

The 13th piece of legislation linked is the Migration Act 1958

Click on that

Scroll down so the top of the button is about 40 mm below the inside top border

What should be showing is Part 2 Look at Division 1 and 13 & 14 define Lawful non-citizens, and Unlawful Non-citizens.

Note the simple explanation that an Unlawful non-citizen is someone in the migration zone who doesn't have a Visa.

Attached is a screen shot of the applicable part of the Migration Act 1958

Bit irrelevant when many places these people come from would NEVER issue a passport or issue a visa to those in the circumstances some of these people are. IF we are going to keep this discussion going why not let us agree to stop the labelling and name calling and just bring up some facts? Nev

Read the UNHRC, Australia guarantees asylum. That's why the LNP has to do offshore process, asylum seekers haven't actually landed on Australian soil and are still technically in transit.Concentration camps are a bad look for a progressive modern country.

Just four posts ago I gave you a direct link to the Migration Act 1958

This is what it says in relation to what I posted in #592

Realistically, when they start using them for slave labour and/or gassing them, you might get away with calling them "concentration camps". If they were trustworthy, fences wouldn't be necessary now would they?
